This morning, Kevin took me to my final appointment before the pregnancy test. They showed us a picture of our top two embryo candidates, one of which has already turned into a blastocyst. They had me take a couple Valium then it was off to fertilization land. They showed it to us on a monitor when they sucked it up out of the tube and put it into the catheter. It's crazy how tiny it is! Right now, it's about the diameter of a human hair.
I am now on bed rest - again - for another 2 days. I'm afraid to sneeze for fear I might diminish the chances it will stick. The next two weeks are going to be pretty difficult. Waiting, waiting waiting. We will have a pregnancy test on October 2nd to see if it worked.
We decided to do one embryo. We may have 4 extra embryos that will be good enough quality to freeze, but we're giving them an extra day to develop before we know for sure if they'll be able to survive the freezing.
